James Atlas Rice, Jr. ¹⁰⁰

  General Notes:

It's known, by family members, that his name is James Atlas. As such, it may be that the census taker make an error in naming his older brother James in the same census in 1870. However, his elder brother is mentioned in multiple census entries as James B., or Bryant, so it appears that either Atlas' first name wasn't James, or their parents gave the first name of James to two of their children. ¹⁰⁵
