Marriages
Up Marriage File

This is a new addition to my web site. However, I may discontinue it, but have not made a decision. The information contained herein is also included with each couple in their family detail entries in all other parts of this web site. I add it here separately as a means to rapidly navigate among all the listed couples so that it is a friendlier means of finding marriage dates and

What's Contained Therein :

bulletSources are not included in this document. However, you can navigate to specific persons in the other sections; where you'll find detailed sources.
bulletIncluded are names, dates & places of marriage <if known>, and multiple spouses <up to 3>. I stopped at three because any more would dictate a very small display size, and the number of persons who have been married more than 3-times is quite small. Still, one can check the other sections for those who may have been married more than 3-times.
bulletThis section includes only a about 10% of the marriages that are included in the rest of the web site. I selected a focus area that was small enough to be easily handled via the internet, but large enough to be a useable source for viewers seeking information related to Early Southside Virginia (before 1800). In essence, names include:
bulletPersons who are related to me or the spouses of those related to me, and/or;
bulletMarried in Henry Co., Virginia <includes other places of marriage for included persons>, and; (may expand it to include Pittsylvania, Franklin, and Patrick Counties, and Rockingham County in North Carolina)
bulletDeceased, and; (I do not plan to include marriage information for living persons)
bulletBirth date before 1915 <if known>, and; (my means of purposely excluding person who may be living)
bulletMarriage date or place unknown to me (adds names that viewers may know of the marriage detail and thus prompt viewers to let me know the details).
