Based on the comparison of my Y-DNA and Niall Noigiallach's Y-DNA STR markers, 10 out of 13 markers compared are matching, resulting in a genetic distance of 3. The average mutation rate for Y-DNA markers is approximately 20 generations, or 1 genetic distance approximately every 20 generations. James Coy Hankins has 12 additional markers that have not been uncovered in Niall Noigiallach's Y-DNA, and comparison of the additional markers will provide further resolution.
