Since he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving as a Pvt., it seens he probably married in Kansas (where his wife was born), & she became pregnant before he deployed. because their 1st child Karen was born either late 1943 or 1944. and he would not have been released from the U.S. Army until sometime in late 1945. Confusing is that their 2nd child, Henry Taylor, Jr., was born Aug. 6, 1945, so he had to have been released in 1944, maybe wounded.
